The Ittaika Method
The Ittaika Method On Demand available now...practice at your own pace from your own device...anytime!
Developed by Amparo Rodriguez, PTA, E-RYT, The Ittaika Method is a mind-body system that incorporates principles of Somatics, Yoga, Kinesiology, Mindfulness, Dance and Pilates.
Each session integrates breathing, Mindfulness, alignment, strength, flexibility and relaxation techniques with the goal of assisting us in the process of aging well. There is no need for special equipment, The Ittaika Method can be practiced anywhere.
With focus on biomechanics, each session is designed to help us improve how our bodies move by releasing tight fascia, increasing mobility, working on motor control and creating a looser body through breathing exercises, yoga-based postures, core strengthening exercises, conditioning movements and relaxation techniques.
With a holistic approach, The Ittaika Method provides us with the tools needed to age gracefully and even reverse signs of unhealthy aging. Learning that it is possible to keep a healthy mind and body as we age, we can change maladaptive habitual movement patterns through re-education while we establish a healthier mind-body connection.

As a licensed healthcare provider, Amparo has specialized training in human physiology, anatomy and applications of exercise to medical conditions, with many years of experience teaching and safely adapting exercise to the specific needs of her students and patients.
Her clients range from individuals recovering from stroke to athletes looking to fine tune their movements. The Ittaika Method focuses on analyzing the biomechanical and neuromuscular causes of pain, discomfort or inefficient motion, then substituting faulty patterns with more efficient ones.
Private sessions are usually one-on-one, although sometimes small groups sharing similar challenges experience the benefits as well. Students with certain medical conditions may require written clearance from their doctor to participate.
Some students learn a routine over 6 to 8 sessions, practice on their own for a few months, and then sign up for another group of sessions to reevaluate needs and structure a new routine. Other students decide to keep an ongoing practice with the therapist.
Prices vary according to number of sessions, location, frequency of sessions (number of sessions per week), and number of people involved in the session. For more information, please complete the form below or send an email to RethinkAging@ittaika.com
